These bullets do high damage and are used by the side and tailguns of the Galaxy Gunship and as the pilot's nosegun weapon on the Liberator and Vulture. The boxes can be obtained from any Equipment Terminal to be hand-loaded into the vehicle's trunk or acquired while in the vehicle from a Landing Pad.
